Prescription For Danger

Prescription for Danger is a report on the troubling trend of prescription and over-the-counter drug abuse among the Nation's teens.

Not in My House

Every day, 2,500 teenagers use a prescription drug to get high for the first time. They're accessing these drugs in the comfort of home; it can be as easy as opening a cupboard, drawer, or medicine cabinet. The good news - there are steps you can take to help protect your kids from prescription drug abuse: monitor, secure and dispose. This site, created by Abbott and The Partnership for a Drug-Free America, shows you how.

Shouting on the Inside

ShoutingInside.com is a web site for teenagers and young adults who are the children of alcoholics and parents addicted to other drugs. The phrase "shouting inside" describes the anger and isolation reported by many children of alcoholics. The web site allows them to both express their feelings and break down the walls around them through online communications and access to other resources. An independent resource, ShoutingInside.com is also a component of the Children of Alcoholics Outreach Program, a collaboration of Community Challenge, Recovery Resources, and Stella Maris -- three non-profit organizations in the Greater Cleveland area -- to address the needs of this population.
